What is included
The hourly rate covers Martin's time. Travel within five miles of Cirencester town centre is included in the first hour. Beyond five miles, mileage is 45p per mile (return trip). Most consumable fixings are included (rawl plugs, basic screws, sealant, washers). Anything beyond that, like a new tap, a length of timber, a specific bracket, will be quoted before Martin buys it or you can supply it yourself.
Half day or full day
If you have a list of three or more jobs, the half day at £125 (3.5 hours) saves you money compared with hourly. The full day at £230 (7 hours) is for big lists, garden tidies, or a full day of mixed errands and repairs. Martin will tell you which fits before starting.
Same day and out of hours
Martin works Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 15:30. Same-day bookings (where the diary allows) carry a 30 percent premium. Evenings and weekends, by arrangement, carry a 25 percent premium. These are exceptions, not the norm.
Mileage outside the 5-mile zone
Cirencester town centre and everything within five miles is included. Beyond that (Tetbury, Fairford, Lechlade, Northleach, Bibury) is 45p per mile, return trip distance. This is calculated honestly and shown on the invoice.

Time Bank FAQ
How does it work?
Buy your hours, then book visits through the calendar as normal. After each visit, Martin deducts the time used and emails you a summary of what was done and your remaining balance.
Do hours expire?
Hours are valid for 12 months from purchase.
Can I share hours with my household?
Yes. Anyone at the same address can use them.
What if I move or do not use all my hours?
Remaining balance refunded, no questions asked.
Do I still pay a deposit when booking?
No. Time Bank customers skip the deposit since you have already paid upfront.
Can I top up?
Absolutely. Buy another pack at any time and the hours are added to your balance.
How payment works
Bank transfer is preferred for most jobs. A simple invoice is sent after the visit, payable within seven days. Cash is accepted for jobs under £100. Card payment is available on a SumUp reader for first-time customers who would rather not handle cash. Monthly care packages run on a standing order, set up before the first visit.
What if a job needs materials?
For small consumables (screws, plugs, washers, sealant), Martin brings them. For anything bigger, he will tell you the cost before buying. You can supply the materials yourself if you prefer. There is no markup on materials.
What if a job turns out to be too specialist?
Sometimes Martin will lift a floorboard or open a back panel and find something that needs a proper electrician or roofer. If that happens, you only pay for the time spent assessing, and Martin will recommend someone local who can do it. He will not start a job he should not finish.
