Handyman in South Cerney
About three miles south of Cirencester. I visit regularly and there is no mileage charge.
South Cerney is one of the villages I visit most often. It is only about three miles from Cirencester, right on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park, and I have a few regular customers there.
It is a mixed community. Some of the houses along the High Street are old Cotswold stone, which means the walls are solid and the fixings are straightforward. The newer builds near the lakes tend to be cavity wall and plasterboard, which needs a different approach for shelves and rails. I am used to both.
Quite a few of my South Cerney visits are for older residents who like having someone local who will come out, fix a few things, and stay for a chat. Others are for families who want a list of small jobs dealt with in one go. Both work well on the hourly rate.
Travel and pricing
South Cerney is within the five-mile free travel zone, so no mileage on top. First hour £55, then £35 an hour after that.
