Handyman in Fairford

Fairford is a bit further out, about nine miles east of Cirencester along the A417. It is a proper market town with its own character, and I visit often enough that I know the roads well.

The work I do in Fairford is a good mix. Some of it is for older residents in the town itself, the same kinds of jobs as anywhere else: shelving, smoke alarm checks, a stuck door, a bit of painting. Some of it is for holiday let owners around the Cotswold Water Park who need flat-pack built, furniture moved, or a quick tidy between guests. Both keep me busy.

Travel and pricing

Fairford is outside the five-mile free zone, so a mileage charge of 45p per mile (return trip) applies on top of the hourly rate. That works out at a few pounds. First hour £55, then £35 an hour. If you have a good list of jobs, the half day at £125 usually makes more sense and absorbs the mileage nicely.
